TASK 4 - Purpose of a title sequence and film opening

After having some discussions in class I learnt that the purpose of a title sequence is to inform the viewer about who helped created the film, it tells us who the director is and who the main actor or actress is (they also tell us about many other roles that helped create the film e.g. set designer). The purpose of a film opening is to intrigue the targeted audience and make them want to continue watching the film. If the film opening was boring, no one would and to watch it, and the film would be unsuccessful in the box office BUT if the film opening was exciting, then people would want to watch it, and it would then be a successful film.
