The Order of Title Sequences

From the title sequence of Gone girl I can see that this film has been advertised as a Ben Affleck film. His name is one of the first to appear even before we see the title of the film. This is because Ben Affleck is an actor well-known for his prominent roles in action movies so it would be better to advertise it using his name and brand. He has a large fan following who would more likely go to see a "Ben Affleck Movie".

This is a Story Based title sequence because at the beginning we are given a little information about the relationship between the two main characters. However, I believe this opening sequence focuses mainly on setting the scene of the film and giving credit to crew members.
