After having discussions in class and watching two film sequences, what I have learnt is that the purpose of title sequences is to give questions for the audience enabling them to watch the actual film to answer their questions. It should lure the audience to the film and excite them to watch the actual movie. The title sequence in a way has to be quite memorable as it is what the audience are going to assume about the movie.
